Another Wash Out

The Staggs Bar Monarchs will have to wait a bit longer for more racing action with news on Saturday morning that Sunday afternoon's Championship clash at Scunthorpe is off.

Scunthorpe promoter, Rob Godfrey, reported, "We ran stock cars at the track on Friday and the forecast rain arrived earlier than expected and didn't allow us to tidy up properly after the cars. With rain already forecast for Saturday and the forecast now suggesting more rain on Sunday morning, we've got no chance. We're flooded here at the moment."

That's another date to come up with and like the home match against Glasgow, a little tricky to rearrange as both teams regularly race on a Friday.

The next action is now next Friday when we open the season with the first of our 70th Anniversary events, Staggs bar Monarchs v Monarchs Champions.
