A much improved performance by Berwick restricted the Scotwaste Monarchs to a 53-43 victory on another summery Armadale evening.

Their Polish star Stan Burza won the opening heat and added two more wins, one a six pointer, in an impressive display. Swede Andreas Bergstrom also had a successful TR ride.

Rider replacement worked well for Monarchs - they dropped just one point in the Harrison rides.

Top scoring Monarch was Henrik Moller, gating brilliantly. He won 5 heats and dropped his only point to Bergstrom in heat 14 - a heat he led until Sean Stoodart crashed, bringing down Branney. Bergstrom won the rerun.

William Lawson was also in double figures with 12 paid 14.

Theo Pijper stopped in one race and Derek Sneddon also had bike problems. Monarchs will defend their 10 point lead for the bonus when they go to Shielfield on 5th August.
