After a traumatic week the teams for Friday's Inter-League challenge have been finalised, with the third placed man from last Saturday's Grand Prix Frederick Lindgren lining up for the Parry's International Wolves Select side.

In-form David Howe, an Armadale favourite, also lines up for Wolves, who bring a side well above normal Premier League standard. The Scotwaste Monarchs have drafted in Glasgow's Shane Parker and King's Lynn's ex-Monarch Daniel Nermark to try to live with the Wolves.

TEAMS FOR THE INTER-LEAGUE CHALLENGE AT ARMADALE ON FRIDAY 1st JUNE (start time 7.30, doors open 6.30) are:

EDINBURGH SCOTWASTE MONARCHS: Daniel Nermark, Derek Sneddon, Theo Pijper, William Lawson, Shane Parker, Andrew Tully, Matthew Wethers

WOLVERHAMPTON PARRY'S INTERNATIONAL WOLVES SELECT: David Howe, Magnus Karlsson, James Grieves, Chris Kerr, Frederik Lindgren, Carl Wilkinson, Arlo Bugeja

KEYLINE BACKING: Keyline Broxburn were originally sponsoring the visit of World Champion Jason Crump to Armadale, and have agreed to switch their sponsorship to assist with the costs of bringing up the Wolves.

Their support is very much appreciated, as always.

NO CRUMP, ADAMS: It was a bitter disappointment for everyone at Armadale that carefully-laid plans to bring Jason Crump to Armadale on Friday fell through thanks to Jason's shoulder injury sustained in the Swedish Grand Prix on Saturday night.

At first it seemed there was a chance that Crump would still be able to ride, but this has not been the case, and a late request to Leigh Adams to guest also proved impossible.

Therefore attention switched to the GP third place winner from last Saturday ? Freddie Lindgren who was not originally included in the Wolves' lineup.

So he will now be the big name on the night, with team mate David Howe also very much in form.

MONARCHS' LINEUP: Theo Pijper has replaced William Lawson in the Monarchs' Premier League side ? but both ride for Monarchs on Friday!

Theo makes his first appearance at Armadale this season on Friday ? and William has also agreed to step in to complete the home lineup.

Daniel Nermark (a Monarch in 2005) and Shane Parker will be guesting for Monarchs.

SPONSORS ON FRIDAY: Meeting sponsors on Friday will be Monarchs' team sponsors Scotwaste, who will watch the meeting from the George Hunter Memorial Lounge.

POWERHOUSE WOLVES SIDE WILL BE HARD TO BEAT: David Howe and Frederik Lindgren spearhead the Wolves' side on Friday, with Magnus Karlsson the third member of the Wolverhampton Elite team on show. All three are on fine form at the moment ? Howe is having the best season of his career, and Lindgren has just recorded a best-ever third place in last weekend's Swedish Grand Prix.

Ex-Monarch Magnus Karlsson has regained form recently after a few shaky weeks earlier in the season.

Two riders from Wolves' sister club at Redcar will be in the side ? the always formidable James Grieves, and handy American Chris Kerr.

At reserve Wolves will be using Carl Wilkinson who has recently been doubling up for them (and rides for Newcastle in the Premier League), and Redcar's recent signing Arlo Bugeja.

ADMISSION PRICES: Costs of Friday's meeting are well in excess of a normal club match, therefore admissions for this week only will be at the level announced earlier, ie Adults ?15, OAPs ?12, Children at a reduced ?2 and a Family ticket (adult + 2 children) at ?18.

LAST WEEK'S MEETING: The Scotwaste Monarchs beat Somerset 48-41 in the KO Cup quarter final first leg. Top scorer was Matthew Wethers once again, on 15 points.

NEXT WEEK'S MEETING: League Champions King's Lynn come to Armadale on Friday 8th June in a Premier League match, with Daniel Nermark back for the second week running in addition to Tomas Topinka. The KL Stars are flying again and will be tough opponents.
