BACK INJURY SCARE FOR KEVIN

Kevin W?lbert made a surprise visit to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary on Monday afternoon to have a back injury checked out.

After his heat 3 pile up on Friday evening he had been in some discomfort but decided that he would just carry on as normal and the pain would soon subside. That seemed to be the case until Monday morning when a large lump began to appear on his back.

He was advised to visit the Royal Infirmary and he spent three hours there on Monday afternoon having x-rays and tests.

The outcome? Nothing broken but it could take up to three weeks for the swelling to fully recede. Kevin has been given some pain killers and will ride on in our match at Redcar on Thursday.
