Scotwaste Monarchs' fans will have been watching aghast on Sky tonight, three days away from our vital Playoff match, as Craig Cook withdrew from the Birmingham v Wolves match.

He took a second place in heat 1, then spun off in the dirt on the first bend of heat 5. The cameras then showed him in apparant discomfort in the pits.

Nevertheless he came out on a TR for his third ride in heat 11, but pulled up on the first lap.

We have heard via girlfriend Charlotte that he has dislocated a knuckle but that it is now back in place.

It might be painful and we will be checking with him tomorrow, but we are very hopeful that all will be well for Craig to be in his usual place for Thursday and Friday.
