Sam Masters needs a big performance at Mildura on Sunday evening if he is to win the Australian Championship.

The final round of the Australian Championship takes place at Midlura, Justin Sedgmen's home track, on Sunday evening and, whilst it would take an extraordinary set of results for Sedgy to capture the title, Sam Masters is still very much in the chase.

Brady Kurtz is now the leader of the Championship and is three points ahead of Sam and Rohan Tungate. Three points behind those two are Max Fricke and Nick Morris. All five could reasonably believe that they will end up as Champion.

Sam likes the Mildura track and it certainly holds no fears for him but Kurtz has been riding well and knows that victory is in his own hands, a position that Sam is not in.
