We’ve had some remarkable matches at Glasgow over the last few seasons, and here was another to add to the list.

After Friday there was a widespread expectation of a close match, and perhaps our unbeaten run coming to an end. But if our riders thought anything like that, it didn’t show.

Craig Cook passed Bergé off the second bend in heat 1, and Aaron rode a steady race to keep Kevin Wolbert at the back. So we were in front, and with a fairly comfortable 5-1 in heat 2 (against two highly rated Danes) the pattern was definitely set.

Rusty Harrison took our pair from the back in heat 3 but we then took three more 5-1 heat advantages!

We’ve seen Sam Masters team ride several times already and he covered Steve Worrall expertly again.

Tigers used their first TR in heat 5 but Craig won it easily, and Aaron had his best race yet to stay in front of TR Rusty!

When Sam and Justin took another 5-1 in heat 7 it was almost getting embarrassing. Max won heat 7 from Theo Pijper, then Tigers did have a successful TR ride from Bergé which they celebrated wildly.

Heat 10 was one of the best races as Derek Sneddon took the win in front of the lively Frenchman, the only real bright performer for the Tigers.

We saw out the match comfortably without any real hint of a fightback from the hosts, and the team continues to go from strength to strength.
