Jozsef Tabaka starts his third spell with the Scotwaste Monarchs in just over two weeks’ time hoping that it will be third time lucky for him as he sets out to complete a full season with Edinburgh.

He joined the Club at the start of the 2010 season but just as he was running into his best form he was dropped from the team on the last day of May, to be replaced by Tobias Busch. Last season he was drafted into the team at the beginning of August to take the place of the injured Micky Dyer but even that short season was shortened even further when a crash in a European Championship meeting in Poland left him with a broken hand. He returned to the team before the end of the season and in the matches he did race he showed tremendous potential.

Now back for his third attempt at a full season, Jozsef knows that his equipment must be better if he is to achieve his full potential. Said Jozsef, “My bikes have been in Scotland all winter and much work has been done to make them better. I’ll be flying into the country early next week to carry out the final preparations.”

Jozsef has already had three practice sessions in his home country and hopes to fit in more before he arrives in Edinburgh next Tuesday. That will give him more time to work on his bikes before Scotwaste Monarchs Press Day at the end of that week.
