Craig Cook is facing a busy start to the season and he’s happy for it to be that way. His busy week started with a visit to the Theatre of Dreams at Old Trafford where he signed his Belle Vue contract and ran out of the players tunnel to a standing ovation from...teammates Ales Dryml and Kauko Nieminen.

Craig then made his way down to London yesterday and you’ll see more of that on television in the weeks and months to come. Tonight it’s up north again as he lines for the Aces in their challenge match at Birmingham. He’s been paired with Magnus Zetterstrom in the middle of the team of the team. It’s his first racing outing of the season and he’s determined to make a big impression.

Tomorrow night he heads further south to line up for the British Lions in their match against Swindon Robins. It seems likely that Craig will line up at reserve for this one giving the Lions a potent sting in the tail.

Back on the road again and this time heading for Scotland and our Press and Practice day. He needs to be at Armadale fairly early in the day for the press call and then it will be out on the track at 5.

No time to draw breath as he’s off down south again for Belle Vue’s first Elite League match at Eastbourne on Saturday before he manages a day off on Sunday but then heads back to Manchester for the Belle Vue Press Day on Monday.

It’s a busy time for Craig and he joked,” I’ve been doing nothing for four months so rushing around just now isn’t a problem. The driving’s not a problem to me either as my Dad will be doing that. I can wait to get into the real action. I’m hoping for a big year and I think I’ve prepared well for it.”
