Allowing for Geoff Craythorne's assault on Ben Nevis later this year, we our now reaching the end of, what looks like, a successful fund raising campaign to pay for the installation of our air fence.

It was always our hope that we would come to our air fence fund raising meeting with a realistic hope that the event would top up the fund sufficiently to carry us to our £20,000 target. It does look highly likely now that the target will be reached on Friday evening.

We are grateful to the riders of both teams tomorrow who are riding for expenses only as they will do at Ashfield on Sunday. This gives a huge boost to the ability of the event to generate a significant profit. We hope that we can give the riders a special welcome as they go on parade tomorrow.

Admission to the meeting on Friday evening is by donation and we are suggesting that this donation is at least the normal admission price. However, anyone who wishes to donate extra, for instance their normal change from the admission price, will be able to throw such contributions in a bucket situated at each gate.

We are very pleased to confirm that the fund now stands at £17848.90.
