The Scotwaste Monarchs make the trip across to Glasgow on Sunday afternoon for their final League Cup qualifying match of the season. Of course our position in the semi finals of the competition is already secure and Glasgow cannot progress further even if they win their three home matches.

Max Fricke used his day off between the two Glasgow fixtures to travel to Leicester to take a guest booking for Coventry. He did well and he scored 8 + 1 from his four races to help the Bees to an away win. Most of the rest of the team were racing on Saturday evening also but they were in karts at the Theo Pijper Testimonial event at Newbridge.

Glasgow also had riders in action on Saturday. Their two Danish reserves had two meetings. They both qualified through from the Danish Under 21 Semi Final in the morning to the final which was staged in the afternoon although they didn't have much success in that. Kevin Wolbert took the chance to return to Germany for an individual meeting but finished well down the list of scorers.

The League Cup semi finalists are not yet confirmed although Sheffield are now confirmed as winners of the Northern group. The Southern group is still wide open and the best runner up could come from any of the three groups.
