Aaron has arrived! He followed up a score of 5 paid 7 at Armadale on Friday with a 4 paid 6 at Glasgow two days later and in-between he led the 'Yankee Doodles' karting team to victory at Theo Pijper's Testimonial event!

This timely upturn in form, however, won't stop him from dropping down to a reserve spot when the new averages kick in where a spell there should do him the world of good. That number two race jacket must be the most unenviable position in the team as it has four races scheduled by heat ten with three of them against opposition heat leaders! His weekend achievements though were just slightly overshadowed by the Scotwaste Monarchs incredible extension to their run of unbeaten matches. It marches on once again as you know and now stands at eight out of eight!

But let's go back to Friday. We were graced with better weather for a change and another large crowd had a spring in their step as they came in anticipating another battle royale against our friends the Glasgow Tigers. Easter eggs were on offer to the kids and Ed was joined by our very own Easter bunny who returned having enjoyed last year so much! Ed told me he was thinking of asking bunny out on a date but couldn't as he was short on doe and out of bucks!

With a comfortable win under our belts, we travelled through to Ashfield on Sunday afternoon where a substantial Edinburgh following witnessed a mauling of the Tigers. I actually think the Glasgow team has lots of experience, potential and youth but when you're up against a Monarchs side who have their gating boots on and mean business then it's going to be a hard task to stop us.

This coming Friday we have the other Tigers calling on us. Quivering in their boots will be the spectacular Simon Stead and his pals from Sheffield who are fresh from their double over Redcar last week which put them top of the Northern section of the League Cup but they'll have to all be riding out of their skins to stop us making it nine out of nine!

And to the important business of the week! Hopefully, we should have the strip lights problem solved by Friday but at least it's getting a lot lighter these nights! I can tell you that the air fence sponsorship acknowledgement notices is in hand and that Auntie's chip score from Glasgow is 8/10!

So, until this Friday my friends, look after each other and be good! Take care.
