Scotwaste Monarchs bosses are waiting anxiously for reports on the injury suffered by Stevie Worrall after he crashed heavily in the National League Play Off Final at Wolverhampton on Tuesday.

Said Monarchs co-promoter, Alex Harkess, " We got a phone call from Alan Bridgett, who is at Monmore Green tonight, to report that Stevie had been involved in a big, big crash at the first turn of heat 10 and although he eventually got up and walked from the track he was holding his arm. Initial thoughts were that he had suffered a wrist injury."

Stevie has decided to return home to Cleethorpes and will get the arm x-rayed there if he is still in pain when he gets there. Until we have news of the outcome of that then we can only be concerned.

Derek Sneddon continues to improve and is confident that he will be fitter than he has been in recent weeks when he lines up at Somerset on Friday.
