Justin Sedgmen again led the Monarchs’ challenge in the Australian Final second leg at Mildura as he had in the first, finishing third in the A Final after beating the eventual winner Jason Doyle during the qualifiers.

All three of our riders made it through to the latter stages, with Sedgy on 12 from the qualifying heats, Sam Masters and Max Fricke both scoring 10.

Max and Sam went out at the B Final stage, with Tyson Nelson qualifying to join Justin, Chris Holder and Jason Doyle in the A Final.

It’s another excellent effort by Justin Sedgmen who is now lying second in the standings overall, with Undera on Wednesday and Kurri Kurri on Saturday still to come. Good showings in those meetings should see Justin clinch a podium position. Jason Doyle has a strong hold on the title after unluckily missing out last year.

Positions so far: Jason Doyle 35, Justin Sedgmen 28, Chris Holder 23, Rohan Tungate and Dakota North 22.
