It's been another fine day for speedway at Armadale and we get underway at 7.30pm this evening with the visit of Newcastle Diamonds.

Craig Cook has confirmed that he is fit to take his place in the team tonight but as his absence from the meeting at Swindon last night was not due to a speedway injury permission from the BSPA to re-introduce him to the team had to be obtained and this was forthcoming on Friday afternoon.

Not such good news for Erik Riss. Although he has completed his laser treatment he is not fit enough to take his place tonight and rider replacement will operate.

Newcastle have also made a late change to their team. The early call off of the Coventry v Swindon match on Friday morning has allowed Lewis Rose to travel north and he will replace Luke Crang, who replaced Josh Bates, who replaced Lewis Rose, in the Diamonds line up

The Sapphire Engineering Diamonds have generally been excellent guests to Armadale for many years and tonight should be no different. They are a strength in depth team but have riders, not least Stevie Worrall, who have done very well in their time at Armadale.

Supporters should note a fixture change coming up. The Border Roofing Monarchs will not now be at Workington on 25th May. That date will now be used for the restaging of the Comets/Bandits League Cup match. Our new date will be announced in due course.

Supporters who can help to publicise our meetings at Armadale can pick up posters in The Club Shop these evening for display in shops or offices.
