Sheffield Tigers warmed up for their visit to Armadale on Friday night with a big home win on Thursday evening over Berwick by 56 to 36.

Craig Cook was guesting for the Tigers and he scored 11 from his five rides. Josh Bates was in fine form for the Tigers being unbeaten in his first five races before a fall. He'll be a busy man on Friday with the Tigers using rider replacement for Ashley Birks. Liam Carr, our guest reserve on Friday, rode for the Bandits at Sheffield and scored 2 including defeating David Bellego.

Elsewhere Redcar defeated Somerset by 48 to 45 after being ten points behind at one stage. That result perhaps suggests that our defeat there two weeks ago was not quite so bad as we believed at the time.

Peterborough dislodged us from the top of the table with their easy win at Berwick on Wednesday and Somerset gained a league point at Redcar to move into second but we have the chance of going top again with a win on Friday although Peterborough are at Scunthorpe on Friday and may see that as a potential victory.
