Just when we believed we were going to have a full visiting team at Armadale for the first time this season we have received news from Redcar of a late team chnage.

The Border Roofing Monarchs will be attempting to produce as big a win as possible at Armadale tonight to take to the second leg of the Knock Out Cup quarter final at Redcar on Thursday but they won't find it as easy as the last time the Ecco Bears came calling.

The Bears have been forced into a late change with Adam Roynon, who seems to have little appetite to race at Armadale, pulling out of tonight's match with food poisining. His place will be taken by Berwick's Alex Edberg.

The heavy early morning rain has cleared away and extensive track work was undertaken on Friday morning to drain the surface water from the track. Everything is now ready for tonight's match.

All the Border Roofing Monarchs came through last night's match unscathed although the journey home was somewhat longer than expected due to diversions on the A14 and A1.

Kevin Wolbert was suffering greatly from a very bad cold last night and is hoping for an improvement before tonight's match.

The Cup match will be followed by a six heat Northern Junior League challenge between the Dale Devils and the Bear Cubs.
