After some very heavy rain at Armadale on Friday evening it's bright and sunny at Armadale on Saturday morning as we look forward to tonight's Travel Plus Tours Knock Out Cup quarter final with Redcar.

We've got a couple of showers forecast for this afternoon but hopefully that will do no more than help with track watering.

There was some action featuring our riders on Friday night. Rob Branford was riding for Swindon at Lakeside and he scored 2 and 2 bonus to help the Robins to a seven point win and four league points in their quest to overcome Belle Vue for the fourth Elite league play off place. Craig Cook was due to guest for Swindon in that match but withdrew from it. He is fully fit to race at Armadale on Saturday evening.

Redcar's Stuart Robson was due to ride for Coventry in their home match on Friday evening but, following his televised crash on Monday, he wasn't fit and he has also withdrawn from tonight's match.

Over in Germany Erik Riss was riding for Landshut Devils. They needed a big win over DMV White Tigers to secure a place in the Bundesliga Final and they got it winning by 56 to 31. Erik scored 10 and a 2 minute exclusion.

Following on from what might have been considered a surprise defeat for us at Plymouth last Saturday, it was interesting to note that Plymouth went to Somerset last night and won by 52 to 38. Looks like the Devils are coming to form as they make a late charge for a play off place.
