We start our attempt to defend our league title at Peterborough this afternoon with a visit to the Peterborough Arena for a match against the Panthers. Having won their earlier this season we are hopeful of a good result.

Unfortunately Kevin Wolbert will still be missing and rider replacement will again cover. Kevin has an appointment with his doctor in Germany on Tuesday and hopes to get clearance to resume then.

After his tumble down the track on Friday Erik Riss is fit to continue. In fact he was in Germany last night racing for Landshut in the second leg of the Bundesliga Play Off Final. He top scored but his team lost to Stralsund.

Peterborough also have injury problems and will be without number one Ulrich Ostergaard. Initially they hoped to bring in Elite League star Niklas Porsing but when he became unavailable they turned to Rohan Tungate of Ipswich. He has a good record at the Showground. Since recently joining the Panthers Ben Barker and Anderson Thomsen have been dominant on their home track.

Today's match, which starts at 5.00pm, is, of course, only the first leg and the teams will re-assemble at Armadale on Friday. Season tickets will be valid for that match and normal admission prices will apply. Pre match day discounted tickets are already on sale and VIP hospitality is available.
