Well that's an exaggeration but in comparison with our weather at most of our meetings this year Friday night looks like being by far the best so far.

There will be one late change in the Border Roofing Monarchs line-up with Dan Bewley missing being replaced by Buxton's Ryan Blacklock. We are trying to make every effort to balance Dan's progression in speedway by giving him the opportunity to boost his confidence with a meeting in the National league but he'll be back in the team next week against Plymouth.

It was a busy day for racing in Germany on Thursday, Ascension Day being a public holiday there. Erik Riss was riding in a long track meeting in Herxheim. He was the winner with a full 20 point maximum and amongst others finished ahead of Sheffield's Richard Hall and World Long Track champion Jannick de Jong.

Advance tickets are going well for Friday's match at Armadale with interest in seeing the Tigers attempt to maintain their unbeaten record at Premier League level so far this season.
