Edinburgh Monarchs Academy are pleased to announce Kyran Lyden as the first signing for the 2023 National Development League campaign.

The 20 year-old Teessider is excited to get stuck into the new season with the Academy, said Kyran, "I'm buzzing to be back at Edinburgh this year. I loved my time with the team in 2022, the team spirit was unreal and the promotion helped me out a lot. It was a no brainer for me to return for the new season."

Kyran previously rode for the Armadale Devils, joining the side in the middle of the 2022 season though only completed four fixtures for the team. This culminated in his highest score of the season as he secured 5 points at home against Belle Vue Colts.

This is something that Kyran is determined to build on in the season ahead, "This year I'm keen to push on further and for the team to do better. We have a new face in the management role and I'm excited to see what he brings.

"I'm sure the team will be looking good and we will all want to win."
