Stellar Monarchs are saddened to hear of the shocking theft of the bike, van and equipment of young Northern Junior League rider Liam Morris.

An appeal is being made for the safe return of the equipment which was stolen from the Deans area of Livingston early on the morning of Wednesday 10th April.

Liam, aged 12, was a founding member of the Monarchs Speedway Academy in 2021, then progressing into the Armadale Angels Northern Junior League side and is due to line up for the West Lothian Goaco Wildcats this season.

Well-known Monarchs supporter Keith Maben, Liam's dad, said: "The bike and the equipment are the biggest loss. If we can't get the equipment back, it's going to make it very difficult for us to continue in the sport Liam loves".

"The key item we need back urgently is Liam's helmet. He doesn't have another one. I don't care about getting the van back but we need the speedway equipment."

Liam is due to race this weekend but fears his chances of getting the bike back with enough time are slim.

The stolen van is a silver Ford Transit with Liam's junior speedway bike in the back along with his helmet, goggles, gloves, toolbox and spare bike parts.

If anyone has any information regarding the van or equipment please contact the club here.

**Update - Friday 12th April - The van has been recovered however none of the racing equipment has been returned. The bike is distinctive as photographed above. Please keep an eye out for this on speedway resale sites.
