Monarchs Captain Paco Castagna faces a period on the sidelines as he looks to fully recover from a hand injury.

Paco has been riding through the pain since his crash against Redcar back in April and following scans has now been diagnosed with thumb ligament damage.

Paco will undergo treatment in a bid to return as quickly as possible. Heal up fast Paco.

Good luck to Dan Thompson who makes his return from injury tonight in the British Grand Prix at Belle Vue where he lines up as second reserve.

Dan has worked hard to get back in action and has enjoyed track time at both Leicester and Belle Vue to confirm his fitness.

Dan will return to the Monarchs team on Wednesday at Poole for the BSN Series Semi Final second leg.
