Although the Border Roofing Monarchs are entering a quiet spell with our next match not until next Friday our riders are keeping very busy.

The Border Roofing Monarchs won their fifth successive Premier League match at Armadale tonight, beating Workington 56-36, consolidating their third place with matches in hand over Sheffield and Peterborough above them.

A patched-up Workington team came to Armadale and were out of contention by the half way stage of this match.

The Border Roofing Monarchs easily defeated Workington Comets at Armadale on Friday night by 56 to 36. Kevin Wolbert top scored for the Monarchs with 12 and Ricky Wells got 12 for the Comets.

Armadale has been quite lucky on Friday in avoiding many of the heavy showers that have been falling throughout Central Scotland. With all weather forecasts suggesting that all showers will die out by late afternoon we anticipate our match with Workington going ahead as scheduled.

Edinburgh have the chance to join Somerset and Peterborough in the top three of the Premier League table if they can take all three points against this Friday’s Armadale visitors, the Thomas Armstrong Workington Comets who have only ridden two PL matches so far.

Late changes to the Workington team suggest that the Border Roofing Monarchs will have a slightly more difficult task in picking up three league points at Armadale on Friday evening.

The Border Roofing Monarchs return to Premier League racing with a visit from Workington Comets to Armadale on Friday.
