William Lawson could well be the busiest Monarch in 2006, and he is due to get his campaign under way this week.

The weather might have a say but if it doesn't bite too hard, he will be at Wolves' practise on Monday followed by matches at Poole (Wednesday) and Peterborough (Thursday).

After that he dashes back up the road for the Monarchs' Press and Practise event on Friday afternoon.

"I'm hoping that riding for Wolves will sharpen up my gating," he admitted, pinpointing the aspect of his racing which is currently weakest.

William is of course the current British Under-18 Champion and will this year seek to make a stronger bid for the Under-21 title.

"I'm seeded to the British Final and then of course I hope I will go on to the World stages."
