Since our surprise win at Ashfield in the KO Cup, Tigers had strengthened with the inclusion of Bager for Mills, so perhaps another surprise wasn’t on the cards.

We went down by 12 points at Ashfield today after being in contention for a point with a couple of heats remaining. More importantly, we hope there has been no serious damage done to three of our riders who suffered mishaps in the latter stages.

The Scotwaste Monarchs made a very strong start tonight against Workington, and withstood the late challenge by the Comets, to take all three points in a 52-41 victory.

Workington are a good side but we always feel we should have the edge on them at Armadale, especially since Rusty Harrison left. However with Micky Dyer carrying an injury, things weren’t quite so certain.
