Our 2014 Scotwaste Monarchs rode very well at Ashfield to complete a second victory in three days over our old rivals, and retain the Spring Trophy (awarded for the Air Fence Challenge).

The Scotwaste Monarchs turned in a more than satisfactory opening night performance to win the Air Fence Challenge 1st leg against Glasgow by 52-38, having been a mere two points up at heat 11.

The Scottish season opener was tight for much of the evening, and Tigers should really have taken the lead, but in the end Monarchs asserted themselves for a solid 14-point victory.

Ed the Monarch was excited to receive an Ed size race jacket from Stewart Melrose of Scotwaste at Press Day on Saturday and it wasn't long before he was wearing it with pride.
