The eagerly-awaited World Under-21 Final at Mildura, Australia has been a disappointment in most respects, though not for the Polish youngsters who won easily with 50 points to Denmark’s 39, Australia’s 29 and Germany’s 5.

A very successful Australian Grand Prix was won this morning (our time) by Greg Hancock, with Border Roofing Monarch Sam Masters scoring 5 points - and he could easily have had more.

Whilst the Border Roofing Monarchs were clinching back to back league championships, The British Speedway Promoters Assocation AGM was taking place at Rugby. Alex Harkess represented the Club on both days at the weekend although it was a rush back to Armadale to manage the team on Saturday night.

The Border Roofing Monarchs won the Premier League title for the fifth time tonight as they swept Glasgow aside by 58-32, a score which believe it or not flatters Glasgow, resulting in a winning aggregate of 99-80.

The all-Scottish Premier Championship Final was a great occasion in terms of attendances but in the end it was a very comfortable win for Edinburgh who thus retained their title.

The Border Roofing Monarchs are Premier League Champions again after defeating Glasgow Tigers, in front of the biggest crowd ever at the stadium, by 58 to 32 to win on aggregate by 99 to 80. Sam Masters scored a full 12 point maximum. Richard Lawson scored 10 for the Tigers.
