Edinburgh Monarchs
Stoke gave one of their better recent Armadale performances, but the Scotwaste Monarchs finished strongly for a 52-40 victory.
Theo Pijper was in magnificent form again and scored a comfortable maximum with five immaculate rides. None of his team mates were anything like as consistent, but chipped in enough to ensure we were always ahead.
We took the lead in heat 2 against Stoke's struggling reserves, but still only held a 4-point lead with 4 heats left.
However we finished strongly, taking three heat advantages and sharing heat 14 in which Robbie Kessler took a second place on his tactical ride.
Now we head for Stoke, seeking at least the bonus point - and of course we have already won there this season.
