Scotwaste Monarchs have entered a team in the newly established British Academy League junior competition.

Although a national competition it will initially be split into regional groups and the Armadale team, actual name not yet confirmed, will contest the northern section. This will be called the Fearnley Academy after long time Belle Vue supremo and British Speedway chairman, Jack Fearnley.

Matches will be raced home and away against the other five teams in the league with each match featuring six races. The sectional winner will progress to a playoff.
