In spite of gaining our second successive heat 15 5-1, we came up just short of gaining a point at Ipswich.

We drew the first two races, but on a tricky track then slumped to 11-25 after 6 races. Craig Cook had led heat 6 on a TR but ran into difficulties and dropped back to third.

Matthew Wethers in heat 8 was our first race winner, unfortunately not on a TR, and we seemed to wake up at that stage with Cook, Tully and Wolbert (2) adding further race wins.

Kalle Katajisto took a heavy tumble in heat 10 but he eventually walked off OK.

AndrewTully gained an excellent win from the back, and Kevin Wolbert finished with two powerful wins.

So the night finished a bit better than had seemed likely at one stage, but we ended up pointless on our first appearance at Ipswich for 15 years.

Chris Louis and Cameron Heeps were out for a spin post-meeting - and looked good!
