Josh Bates will be back in the Scotwaste Monarchs line up on Friday night for the match against Rye House at Armadale.

Originally it seemed likely that Josh would be at the Scotwaste Arena but would be lining up for Rye House. He had originally agreed to race for the Rockets in both of their Northern tour matches at our track on Friday and then at Berwick on Saturday and he wasn’t keen to go back on his word. However, it now appears that Jason Garrity will be back in action by the weekend and Josh is now free to race for the Monarchs.

Looking further ahead, Josh has agreed to fill the gap left by the injury to Mitchell Davey at Sheffield on Thursday in Scotwaste Monarchs remaining matches this season, the only proviso being that should there be a clash with any Mildenhall fixtures in the National League he will race for the Fen Tigers. At the moment there are no such clashing dates in the diary.

Mitchell Davey was released from hospital earlier on Tuesday and now the long road to recovery begins. We hope to bring you more news from him later in the week.
