The Record Breaking Scotwaste Monarchs have extended their unbeaten record to 16 after staring defeat in the face at Newcastle today.

The Diamonds led throughout the match up to heat 14, when Steve Worrall and Derek Sneddon took a 4-2 to take the Monarchs into the lead by a single point.

Craig Cook and Sam Masters lined up in gates 1 and 3 for heat 15, which hadn't been productive for much of the match. Craig then popped out the gate to comfortably win the last race in the fastest time of the season.
