After the successful staging of the double header on Friday night with six league points secured for the Scotwaste Monarchs, Newcastle Diamonds provide the opposition at Armadale on Saturday night with another three points on off for the home team.

Three points for the Scotwaste Monarchs tonight will draw us level with Somerset at the top of the league but the Rebels would still hold the top spot on points difference unless we score a massive victory over the Diamonds. With the Diamonds teams being somewhat stronger that our Friday night visitors that seems unlikely.

Newcastle still have a chance of making the play-offs. If they were to win tonight by more than six and pick up four league points that would put them in a very strong position and would require Workington to hit the high sixties in both their matches against Sheffield tonight. So it is a very important match for both teams this evening.

The Scotwaste Monarchs are also very keen to secure all league points available tonight to match Somerset as the only two teams not to have dropped a single home league point this season.

The meeting gets underway at 7.00pm this evening and the stadium gates will open at 5.45pm to allow everyone to watch the Nordic Grand Prix in the bar. That starts at 6.00pm.

Unfortunately there will be no coach from Edinburgh tonight although there will be one available to take supporters back to Edinburgh after the match.
