Time is now marching on to the opening of the new speedway season at Armadale with just ten days to go until the tapes go up on another year at the track. It is a year that see Armadale match Powderhall as the longest running home of the Monarchs.

Although the poor weather of last Saturday prevented much of the preparatory work planned to take place there were still a number of tasks undertaken and work will continue this week on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Supporters wishing to lend a hand will be welcomed on any or all of the days.

Last Saturday did allow Norma and Eddie McKenna of Border Roofing to visit the stadium for the first time as team sponsors and it seems likely that they will be able to assist in the repair of one of our wind battered hospitality areas with their roofing expertise. We are grateful for their assistance and since stepping forward as our team sponsors they have been enthusiastic supporters of our cause.

Although delayed in our preparation efforts last Saturday we are still on target to have everything in pristine condition for Theo's Night of Champions.
