GOOD DAY

Thankfully the awful weather relented to allow a full day of work at Armadale on Saturday.

The high winds, as much as the wet weather, have delayed preparations at Armadale but the air fence is now back in position around the track and that allowed extensive track work to take place on Saturday. That has put the track into a stay to being close to being ready for Friday's opener. Now all we are looking for is a reasonable run of weather up to Friday and all will be well.

Eddie McKenna of Border Roofing has certainly taken a hands on approach in the last two days. The recent strong winds had blown away much of the Perspex roof of the George Hunter Lounge but Eddie has now replaced it and used far stronger material in doing so. We are grateful for his enthusiastic efforts on our behalf.

Although good progress has been made on Saturday there are still a number of jobs to be done to tidy up everything ready for the first night. Again we would be grateful to receive any help on Wednesday, once again from 9.30am.
