It's a big night at Armadale on Friday as it always is when the Monarchs and Tigers do battle, but it is also Monarchs Fans Trust night as our friends from the MFT set out to remind supporters what an important contribution they can make to the club.

Crowds so far, like the weather, have been pretty good and we want that to continue, but we will need the backing of the Fans Trust and the Monarchs Grand Draw to continue their extraordinary support – unequalled in Speedway surely.

That's why the Fans Trust committee will have a high profile during Friday's meeting. They have produced a new flyer to be handed out, so please take one and have a look at what they are saying.

Dave Harley has been a prominent MFT committee member since the start and he says "The purpose of having a special night is to celebrate everything we have achieved so far, to raise awareness of the Trust and encourage new members to join.

"We have been donating money to Edinburgh Speedway for over 4 years now, we launched on Friday 6th March 2015. This support has enabled us to help the speedway continue and we need to keep up the good work to keep Edinburgh Speedway alive. It is no understatement to say that without the Monarchs Fans Trust Edinburgh Speedway would probably have closed in the last 2 or 3 years."

During the evening there will be a presentation from the MFT to the Monarchs' promotion of £2,200 which is made up of the regular monthly contribution towards the paramedics expense, plus a donation towards the costs of recent stadium improvements. This incidentally brings the total amount donated to the club to date to £95,900, a truly remarkable figure.

The Trust committee and some of the members will be involved on Friday, making the presentation, manning their stand and selling tickets for their raffle. There should be an opportunity to join the trust with a few clicks of a button. They are always available to talk about the Trust to anyone who is interested so please approach them if you'd like to be involved.
