Edinburgh Monarchs
Coming up next week, relive one of the most incredible nights in the history of the Club on EMTV:Rewind!
In 2014, Monarchs were driven by captain Derek Sneddon and broke all sorts of club and national records, including notching up a 24-match unbeaten run early in the season and another 20-match run later in the season.
The team won or drew 46 out of 52 matches over the course of the season.
After sailing through the Premier League Play Offs, Monarchs faced Somerset in the Grand Final, who had narrowly swiped the title in an identical clash only the previous year.
With the score after the first leg leaving the tie very much in the balance, the team returned north knowing exactly what they needed to do.
On Tuesday 2nd June, you catch the first leg of the 2014 Premier League Grand Final here on the Official Monarchs Website or join in the conversation with fans over on Facebook.
Then 72 hours later on Friday, EMTV presents the incredible finish to the 2014 season with the second leg.
EMTV thank Rereun Productions for their cooperation in bringing both legs together.
With the coronavirus lockdown now beginning to ease, and Scotland entering 'Phase 1' of the post-lockdown plan, EMTV will continue to present a fantastic match from the archive each Friday evening. The Tuesday edition will be placed on hiatus for now.
In addition, John and Liam will continue to present the popular Sunday Lunch series each weekend with some fantastic guests to be announced over the next few weeks.
Plus on Saturday 6th June, the Monarchs 100 fundraising group host an online auction featuring some extremely rare items. Details on how to take part either as a bidder or a viewer will be posted here next week.
Big decisions are set to be made on the 2020 season by British Speedway bosses over the coming weeks, but EMTV will continue to bring you more fantastic content until the roar of speedway returns.
