Henrik Moller is the new Nordic Under-21 Champion.

The Scotwaste Monarchs' 20 year old Dane headed Grand Prix star Antonio Lindback and his fellow Swedes Frederik Lindgren (a wildcard in the next Grand Prix) and Seb Alden to clinch the title on Sunday. The Swedish trio are all Elite League riders in the UK.

Henrik said on Monday "I didn't really expect to win it, I hoped I would qualify but I knew it would be hard because it was my first meeting back in Denmark with my current bikes.

"The track was good, better than last year, not slick. There was a little bit of grip on it. Last year was too slick. I won four heats but in my other I was sleeping when the tapes went up!

"I made the gate in the final and had the three Swedish riders behind me for the four laps. It was close; I have seen a DVD of the final and for three laps they were by my sides, and on the fourth lap I pulled away.

"I had a couple of new sponsors out to watch me so they were impressed!

"Antonio Lindback congratulated me but he didn't say a lot, I don't think he was too happy!

"I am riding on Thursday for Lejonen in Sweden. I have to get my feet on the ground and look forward to what lies ahead.

"I've had this meeting in my head for some time and I was saying to people that I will be so happy after it is over because my head will be clear.

"All my team were perfect and working hard. After the meeting one of my family had a birthday party so I went there for a meal. Today I have been out with my tuner to see a few sponsors."

Henrik returns in time for Friday's match with Newport, and is waiting to hear whether he has been drawn at Pocking (Germany) or Leszno (Poland) for the World Under-21 semi-final
