DEFEAT FOR MONARCHS AT RYE HOUSE

Edinburgh Monarchs

The Scotwaste Monarchs lost 55-37 at Rye House, but the score didn't do justice to their own efforts.

At heat 8, Monarchs were just 25-23 and seemed set to give their hosts a fright. They lost ground but might well have regained much of it in heat 12.

Matt Wethers and Derek Sneddon were on an 8-1 until our usually steady Aussie spun off.

There is some concern over a wrist injury to Henrik Moller who fell in his third ride. He was fit enough to score 4 in heat 14, but is in some pain.

Monarchs ride at Mildenhall on Sunday afternoon.
