Ronnie Correy accepted the captaincy of the 2007 Monarchs prior to a successful Press and Practise session on Friday.

In spite of some rain and a slippery track, the riders threw themselves enthusiastically round the circuit and seemed to be enjoying being back in action.

It was particularly apparent that Ronnie Correy seemed to master the track very quickly, and for spectacle there was none more impressive than Andrew Tully.

Everyone feels there is a good atmosphere this year and that the other riders will benefit from Correy's experience and enthusiasm.

The riders enjoyed an evening meal in the Hampton Hotel followed by the "Meet the Fans" session, attended by a good number.

The Armadale opener is next Friday against Glasgow, and before then there will be action for Ronnie (Wolverhampton, Sunday and Birmingham, Wednesday), William (Oxford, Sunday), Derek (Berwick, Saturday) and Daniele (Italy, Sunday).
