We turned in a very spirited show at Ashfield in spite of the loss of Andrew Tully on the parade, when his throttle jammed and put him through the fence.

With Derek already missing we were down to five riders, but with Henrik and Daniele showing their best form so far we made a real fight of it. We had the majority of race winners, something we haven't done for a while.

We fought back from a 6-point deficit to lead through heats 11 and 12, and we had clinched the bonus after Henrik won heat 14.

Unfortunately we were forced to run two heats with just one rider; this plus a lost chain (again) for William in heat 12 cost us dear. William was about to record a win over Shane Parker in that heat.

There were no real overtakes but the close scoring held the attention. Eventually a last heat 5-1 carried Tigers to the victory they very much expected.

Andrew has shoulder and leg injuries and we will of course bring updates on his condition.
