Daniele Tessari and his wife Ilaria made it across to Edinburgh for the end-of-season dance - but they were a day late!

Unfortunately a delay on the motorway on their way to Milan Airport resulted in them arriving too late to board the Easyjet flight to Edinburgh.

Despite strenuous efforts to arrange an alternative flight it was not possible to get to Edinburgh on Saturday. However, rather than lose everything on the flight they decided to pay a nit more and travelled to Edinburgh on Sunday for a day trip.

Daniele is still troubled by his knee but will undergo an operation at the end of this month which will have him to full fitness six weeks thereafter and in plenty of time for the 2008 season.

He is desperate to return to the Scotwaste Monarchs in 2008 to continue the good form he was showing just before his crash in May. Time will tell if that wish can be granted.

Daniele is at work in his normal winter employment assembling water pumps and Ilaria has a part time job in a call centre. Daniele is busy installing a kitchen in their house.

Daniele thanks everyone for the help and encouragement given to him over the past six, difficult months and particularly thanks Gina and Lindsay Moffat, his UK landlords, for making him and Ilaria so welcome in their house. He hopes to be given the opportunity to see everyone again at Armadale next March.
