After a night of great racing with plenty of drama, the Scotwaste Monarchs emerged 49-43 winners over the Reading Racers.

As has become the norm, it was a real team performance with a loest scorer of 5 points. We lost a 5-0 and an 8-1 during the evening, and the Racers kept battling with Ostergaard taking a TS ride in heat 14 and putting us under some pressure.

It all made for a thrilling evening once again.

There were numerous highlights; Ryan Fisher was exceptionally exciting with wins from the back in heats 1 and 10, taking Ostergaard and Suchanek in the latter heat with some outrageous manouevering.

Matthew Wethers and Derek Sneddon were up and down but had vital wins, William Lawson recovered from a first ride engine failure to score 10 and Andrew Tully had a thrilling battle with Ulrich Ostergaard which ended with a tumble for Andrew.

But the steadiest man amidst a whirlwind of a match was Aaron Summers, deservedly elected Monarch of the Match.
