The Scotwaste Monarchs fought back from a slow start and a 10-point deficit to earn a battling 46-46 draw (giving us 2 match points) at a bright and dry but chillly Berwick.

It certainly didn't look likely early on as we again toiled over the first few heats ? an engine failure and 3 fallers in the first four races! But some great riding from Thomas H Jonasson and the fast gating Michal Rajkowski kept us in the hunt.

We used our first TR with Thomas in heat 7 and only gained a 4-4, to leave us 10 down at that point.

5-1 advantages in heats 8, 10 and 12 amazingly took us into a 2-point lead, but a four-times started heat 13 saw Bandits back in front again.

Hero Rajkowski won heat 14 with Andrew Tully at last coming to life in third, which meant all square going in to the last heat.

The untouchable Makovsky won again but Thomas and Michal came home in the minor places to earn an exciting two points. Our two Euro-boys scored an astounding 31+3 between them but the whole side put in bags of effort.

This result is a great boost to our Trophy chances as Berwick had been the only side in the northern section to take an away point prior to tonight.
