The Scotwaste Monarchs will inform the BSPA Office first thing on Monday morning that they have selected Sheffield Tigers as their opponents in the Semi Final of the Premier Playoffs.

Although rained off at Glasgow on Sunday afternoon, the Tigers secured their top four finish when Rye House were defeated heavily at Newport on Sunday afternoon.

Commenting on the selection, Scotwaste Monarchs' Chairman Alex Harkess said, "As the top team in the league we could choose any one of the other teams in the top four. All had their attractions as we've beaten Birmingham, Newcastle and Sheffield at home and away this year. However, we feel that we have the best chance of building a big home total against the Tigers. We're not taking anything for granted. Teams reaching the top four in the league have got there on merit and we'll give the Tigers the respect they deserve."

The first leg of the semi final will take place at Armadale this Friday, 24 September at 7.30pm
