CUP FINAL DATES CONFIRMED

The Scotwaste Monarchs have agreed the dates of the forthcoming Knockout Cup Final against Newcastle, which will be 22nd October at Armadale and 31st October at Newcastle Stadium.

While Monarchs were unexpectedly knocked out of the Premier Playoffs (we were the only previous winners!) the Diamonds are still involved in that, and will race their Promotion match against Ipswich in between the two legs of the KO Cup.

Both teams have injury problems and much will depend on how the sides cover for their absentees.

This will be Monarchs' seventh appearance in the KO Cup Final, as they have won the competition in 1981, 1997 and 1999 and finished runners-up in 1961, 1994 and 2009. Friday's meeting will be the last of the 2010 season at Armadale.
