It was a packed hall at the Hilton Airport Hotel last night as the 2010 Premier League champions celebrated, and there was further reason to be cheerful as Scotwaste declared their intention to continue sponsoring the team into season 2011.

Stewart Melrose as always spoke of his pleasure in being involved and admitted that things remain tough in business. He also presented the Charlie Balneaves Memorial Trophy to Ryan Fisher.

Ryan not surprisingly was greatly praised by all the speakers for his contribution in this and the two previous seasons. Ryan said during his speech ?If it wasn't for Edinburgh I would probably be back home in a McDonalds flipping burgers!?

All of the team which finished the season were there and they were joined by Cal McDade and Tobias Busch, plus former Monarchs Kenny McKinna, Brian Collins and Neil Hewitt.

The team were presented with league winners medals by Stewart Melrose's wife, with Scott Wilson adding his professional touch to that section of the evening.

There were no signings as yet but the task of building the 2011 team starts now.
