Kevin Wolbert today won the German National Speedway championship for the second time in Gustrow.

He only managed a third place in his opening heat, but won the rest of his races for a 13 point total which none of his rivals could match.

Runner up was an interesting newcomer named Kai Huckenbeck (12) with ex-Coventry rider Martin Smolinski winning a run-off for third against former Monarch Tobias Busch.

Max Dilger was eighth with 8.

Kevin's previous win was in 2008 and he will be very happy to have his title back.
