Key man Jozsef Tabaka believes he will be 100% fit for Friday’s second leg of the Knock Out Cup semi-final against Ipswich at Armadale.

There will be no more important figure on the Scotwaste Monarchs’ side of the pits. The modest Hungarian has been back in his home country this week receiving treatment on his hand and shoulder but he is confident that he will be ready.

Jozsef has scored 49 points in his seven matches for Monarchs this season, missing 6 weeks through a broken hand and also crashing in the matches on Thursday and Friday last week.

He has also won quite a few heats (two last Friday) and he knows how important his position at first reserve can be.

“I am sure I will be fit, what I need is to make consistent starts,” he says. “Last week I was giving it too much throttle at the gate, in my last ride I have it half as much and won the race.

“It’s a big match and I want to help the team do well.”

Jozsef flies back to Scotland on Friday morning for the match.
